SPOILED FOOD
Of course we save money. And we don't throw away food willingly and if possible we try to use what we have in different ways. But! if the food doesn't taste good and especially doesn't smell good, then we don't eat it and don't reuse it so that it doesn't look or feel like the food is probably spoiled, even if we open it from the original packaging.
And we don't come up with explanations that this is a new type of milk or butter or cheese that smells so bad that normally it's not a smelly cheese (like Pálpuszta cheese in Hungary, which is terribly smelly but it has to be that way because it's fermented and sold that way and everyone knows that it has to be smelly or Márvány cheese with gray-green mold on it, because it really is moldy cheese). And if the food is suspicious to me, I don't give it to someone else in case it's good for them. No. But not for anyone, not even a beggar on the street. If it's no good for me, it's no good for anyone else. I'll throw it away, even if it was expensive.
And if someone takes it out of the trash and eats it, that's none of my business, but no one will get spoiled food from me, not even animals. Because health is very important and we don't want an upset stomach or any other disease that can be contracted from spoiled food. Let's spare ourselves and others from spoiled food and don't overly spice or sugar or salt it just to suppress the spoiled taste, even though unfortunately this is often used in the food industry or in stores just to sell it and not to have a loss. Yeah! Rather us.The people.
Who then end up in the emergency room because we can't stop vomiting or having diarrhea. The food industry and stores don't care about this, so we have to take care of ourselves and our loved ones. We shouldn't buy perishable food with an expiration date that is not visible or blurred (or cosmetics) because it is a well-established practice to wash off the expiration date and then put them on the shelf for the unsuspecting or well-intentioned customer to buy. And if we eat in a restaurant, if the food doesn't taste good or is raw, we should take it back!
We shouldn't eat anything raw that should be fried or cooked because we can easily get food poisoning and in worse cases, we can even die from it. So let's not fool ourselves or others with food! If we are not sure of our own judgment, then we should ask the person living in the same household as us whether they like the food we want to serve. If we live alone and are unsure, then we should throw it out. My experience is that if a food is good, we don't hesitate, it doesn't even cross our minds that it might not be good. But when we start to doubt, something is wrong. I note that I am like that with other things too 😊 If something is suspicious, it is not good.
